NOA1 - May 9

NOA 2 - August 12 (valid to December 12)

P3 received - document dated September 26

P3 returned - October 30 (this one month delay was on my end)

P4 email - November 4

As of today only December 18 interviews are available but I much more prefer a January interview. December 18 and January are all after validity end date of December 12.

no, they automatically extend it, especially if you already have an interview date.  The only time I would contact them about extending the validity would be if you are unable to book an interview date before it expires (even if that interview date is after the expiration.)

Jared & Roxy,

Could you please clarify when your Packet 3 arrived? Was it Sept 26th?.. or was it simply dated Sept 26th and you received it in the mail a few days later. Also.. could you confirm for us that Packet 4 is an email only? In other words, Packet 4 is not a mailing that arrives through the postal service but is an email instead?

Thanks in advance

JM

Correct. After sending Packet 3 via email, I received two emails from the consulate within hours: one confirming that they'd received my documents, and the other being Packet 4, telling me I could book an appointment (and a bunch of other info). I don't believe anyone ever receives anything physical related to Packet 4 (at least, not that I've heard. I could be wrong. Sue me. 😝)
