uscis processing times

I'm currently waiting for a response for my I130 application under Potomac service centre. Last week the estimated time for LPR spouse petition application was between 13 to 17 months with receipt date for a case inquiry for early June 2018. I checked the USCIS website today and the estimated waiting time changed to 23.5 to 30.5 months with receipt date for a case inquiry for May 2017.

Has anyone seen this scenario before between service centres?

Does this mean that I would now have to wait much longer for a response?

Would it be worth calling the service centre as to why the processing time increased and date went backwards?

Details of the petition:

Applied Aug 2018 and was originally through California service centre with similar processing times (23.5 to 30.5 months) and was recently transferred to Potomac on Sept 2019.

Thanks in advance!

Reported processing times fluctuate all the time.

Calling won't speed up your process.  Please don't tie up their lines with such calls.

As another poster said, waiting is all you can do. A representative at a call center will give you the same information as the website.

This recent communication between USCIS director Cuccinelli and Sentaors Cardin & Hollen might answer your question as to why the wait times have gone up.

Thanks for that article.

Since we've been waiting for over a year before it was transferred to another service centre. Does the waiting period start again or the waiting period continues on?

Thanks,

Thanks,

The waiting period continues. Your priority is based on the receipt date on the notice you received when you first filed the i130.
