New N-400 Tax Return Vs Transcript

Hello All,

If you are filing an N400, I would recommend that you use the tax transcripts as opposed to tax returns. Looks like in the instructions for the new forms (Sep 2019) they are no longer accepted.

However in the document checklist they are still there but it's dated 2017.

Were you referring to the new form instructions? I didn't even see them asking for tax transcripts under the "list of documents to submit with your form N-400."  Did I miss something?

Whether it is listed or not , sending 3 year of tax transcript as an additional documents would be good idea ( if you are filing under 3 year marriage base).  Additional evidences are always helpful.
