Will living in a restricted income housing affect my  AOS application?

no, as long as you make enough money to meet the 125% of the US poverty level. so it really comes down to how much you make a year. although, if you are applying for low income housing could mean you don't meet the 125% to be a sponsor. you might have to get a co-sponsor to apply for AOS.

Just keep in mind that 125% is the minimum for consideration. The IO still makes a decision based upon the totality of the circumstances.

It seems that you came on a K-1 visa, so you already passed the public charge test once, which is a good sign IMO.

My husband makes about 4-5k more from the  proverty guidelines. We are currently living in a rented room and want to get our own place to own or rent but he has bad credit due to a vehivle accident that he is still paying off. Just looking for options to consider.

if he is making more than $21,137 for a household of 2, than you should be safe to apply for AOS.  just make sure you put household 2, do not count the other members living in that same house as you are not supporting them. best of luck!
