Are the tax returns for last 3 years and proof of citizenship enough as supporting documents?

Each I-864 must include at least the most recent year's tax return copy. The other 2 years are optional (although their income info is listed on the I-864s).

Each I-864 should include evidence of current income. For a W-2 worker, this would typically include an employment letter and pay stubs. For somebody who is self-employed, the tax returns are also evidence of current income.

 

A joint sponsor should include evidence of being a USC or LPR.
