Affidavit of support co sponsor or joint sponsor

My husband has filed a petition I130 to bring me to US. However he hasn't had any income for the past 2 years, so we were thinking his family members would be his sponsors.

He lives in the house with his parents and his sister. and we were thinking to file affidavit based on his father and sisters income.

 

Should we file affidavit with:

1. my husband(petitioner) as a sponsor form i864
2. his sister and dad as household members with form i86a 

or 

1. my husband sponsor(petitioner) I864
2. his dad joint sponsor i864
3. his sister as co sponsor I864a to combine dads and sisters income

 

We've been trying to figure this out for a while but we saw this topic 

 

and then there was a controversial one here so we are not sure which one is correct

Let's dispatch the semantics first, co-sponsor is not a term that is used whatsoever in regards to any I-864 form; sister in that particular instance would be qualified household member (the post in the old thread is incorrect).

 

To answer your question:

Your husband has no income to combine with either his dad or his sister so your first scenario is not workable.  As for your second scenario, would his dad need to combine income with his sister in order to qualify or vice versa?  If not, then the individual with the higher income can act as a joint sponsor on their own.
