Status Shows Administrative Processing Though Was Approved At Interview

Hi, I was interviewed at the Embassy in Accra just last week and it went well. CO told me visa was approved and gave me an approval letter indicating the next steps to follow. He mentioned that it will be ready for pick up in 2 weeks.

I thought I was set and done until I checked my visa status online and found out that VISA is in Administrative Process. That sent some chills down my spine as the meaning of that process doesn't look good (Hopefully I'm wrong).

Could someone please share with me their experience (similar to mine or not) with the Spousal VISA visa interview at the Embassy in Accra, and the timeline for pickup from DHL?

Administrative processing is common after the interview regardless of what the CO states.  Until your passport is ready with the affixed visa, your online status will most likely stay in AP.

Two things: It's normal to show AP, the process of approving your visa and printing it is call "Administrative Processing". Second, all is not set and done until it changes to "ISSUED"
