Filing 864 separately?

Hello. I just received packet 3 requiring me to send to Frankfurt all the usual checklist documents.

I am in Germany but my husband (the petitioner) moved back to the US. Since the 864 has to be signed by him, what are we supposed to do:

-he fills it, mail it to me and i mail it together with everything else?

-i mail everything except 864, and separately he mails 864 to Frankfurt?

Apologize if it's a dumb question but i didn't find other thread on this specific issue!

He prepares, signs, scans, emails it to you and you print locally and if required,  you include it with the other documents

YMMV

this is not allowed cause the guide specifically says it has to be a fresh sign, ink, NO photocopy!

Uhm, then i read non-updated guideline! Also in the one they refer to in the Packet 3 they say "original signature", that made me think they meant ink...

Thank you!

This make life much easier!

Although I still do not find a certain statement about wether this is allowed in the DCF, specifically by the Frankfurt Consulate.

In the Interview Checklist on the website they say i need to bring <<All original documents that pertain to you according to the document checklist>>.

Does this mean that i will need by then to bring the original i-864 in fresh ink? Anyone who went through Frankfurt Consulate has experience about this?

Hopefully someone will confirm for you but the Frankfurt consulate is department of state

"Officially"  there is no such thing as DCF

YMMV
