If you love YouTube, then this one will beat you in the pants instantly. No more crappy video content, either original or stolen, anymore on Joost compare to YouTube.

They have many channels such as CNN, Reuters, MTV, VH1, Hip-Hop, Japan, Reggae, France, Germany musics, National Geographics, Comedy Central, etc .... basically all channels that cable or satellite TV providers have it, unbelieveable. The ads being inserted are not intrusive or annoying, you can save the channels, online chat, instant messaging, etc.

I don't even work for this company but i kind of promoting it since i love the format so much compare to even the iTunes video podcast collection.

I got the email invitation link above if you like to try out. It's still a beta software, supports both Windows and Mac OS X. don't know about Windows though since i hate Windoze OS, Mac OS X rules!!!

cool!!

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

wow, that is so short minded statement with regard to "only high school kids refers to Windows as Windoze."

At least i'm not one of your declaration, as a matter of fact ... I'm in my early 30's. For the life of my graduate schools and professional work, I used Windows most of the time. I used it to get the job done, but I don't love it or like it until I'm starting to use Mac OS X along with the x86 Intel transition on 2005.

Let me ask you what other apps that average people are using on Windows except Office? Mostly none, for the browser you can use Firefox instead of IE. And Microsoft is making lots of money too by selling Office Mac version since that is the most purchased software apps by Mac users along with Mac OS X software.

Yes, people can also say Mac OS X hardware is more expensive than Windows hardware. Maybe if you just consider the price only during your PC comparison shopping ... how about the service if you have problems like broken hard-drive, do you want to talk to Dell reps from India, Phillipines, Mexico, and others [wasted many hours "equals to money" for sure just to understand both parties] or talk to Apple reps at your physical local Apple store, you can also call their tech support which is based at Sacramento and Austin ... all of them are supporting the US jobs instead of shipping it to overseas just like Dell and IBM/Lenovo.

how about the iPod and iPhone, coming out this June 29? Actually Apple is a clever company, they leverage the high school kids to evangelize the products and as they grow old, they would no longer has any reference to use Windows as average old folks like us. They will live and work using Apple hardware and Google software, that's it! ... well, at least from the 60,000 ft distance above.

I just stated the facts and would welcome any logical discussion with anyone who'd like to entertain the subject especially from the hardcore Windows user.

Anyone know who is still using Windows 3.1?

Some of the piece of ####### controls that our machines have here at work use 3.1 for workgroups.

I agree with you that Windows 3.1 is definitely a dinosaur now, actually it should go into the computer museum. :)

But i can understand from the business point of view, as long it still works, why change the flow? And that's basically the essence of killing the innovation which slowly kills Microsoft in the long run with the newcomers Google, Web 2.0, and the rejuvenated Apple Inc. with iPod and iPhone products.

Microsoft was a great pride of US product and it still is, but it's time Bill Gates and the company give a way to the new younger generation which already live on the Net with no reference or care about the Windows world. Dell is also doom to die soon since they violated the US pride of being creative and innovative, instead they sold their souls to China, India, Phillipines, Mexico, etc by moving many jobs to overseas. They want to get cheap labor but as the old saying "you get what you're paying for". The same analogy applies when you choose to shop at Wal-Mart instead of Target or Circuity City instead of Best Buy.

I used to own many Dell machines (Inspiron, OptiPlex, Dimension) in the 90's and when i have problem with my hard-drive in 2000, i called tech support and i can sense i talked to India people since many of my co-workers here in US are Indians. They're good people, i don't blame them and actually i directed the blame to Michael Dell to lost their inner creativity and giving it to the overseas.

Apple and Google are now a pride example of US creativity and ingenious designs ... many countries are trying to emulate them and we can't let them copy as fast as we're running further forward. I'm a US nationalist but also being pragmatic which is why i don't promote protectionism. I promote competition and I'd like US to compete and beat the pants out of all other countries in the world.

My crystal ball for the next 20 years in technology: Microsoft, IBM are still great companies but no longer the talks of the town and instead being replaced with Apple and Google as the new sheriff in town. Kids are no longer care about Windows computer or PC to the extend, they're looking for the best electronic devices and Apple would provide them with their best Industrial Design products consistently. It is possible Apple and Google would be replaced too if they're starting to make many mistakes by not being innovative and creative.
