We are getting ready to submit the N-400  I just saw this on another website. Did anyone actually do the formatting to match original document? And put the dashes in place? Or did you just translate the information ?

The translation must match the visual format of the  (original ) document. For example the translation of an official seal must appear on the same place on the page as the actual document.

The document must be translated directly including signatures, dashes, seals, stamps, etc.

I do not think so.  When you translate from other language to English, it will change.  As long as the content are same and dates are same, you will be fine.  What documents you are going to translate?

Thanks Dilip-we are translating a divorce certificate.

I guess we will submit what we have and see if they ask for more.

You will be fine.  Check the board whether people submit both original and translate one.
