IR5 interview and post interview questions (Mumbai Consulate)

All - I recently updated the tracker spreadsheet. Had my case complete on May 15, 2019 and got interview date for my parents on Oct 9, 2019. It was a long, painful wait but it was really helpful to have the data in the trackers.

Now that the interview date is in place, I have few questions related to the US Consulate for Mumbai. My parents were able to get a date/time scheduled for medical test and biometric at VAC (Visa application center), Mumbai.  Few quick questions
1. While the NVC website does not have this as a requirement, the VAC seems to indicate the need to take the petitioners tax return and employment letter. I'm planning to send both to my parents. They also wanted the DS-260 print out (which is fine). I submitted the IRS transcript to NVC and my parents will be taking a copy. Question is whether each consulate has their own specific requirements. Anything else we should be aware of for Mumbai as it pertains to IR5?
2. We set the post interview pickup location for Passport and immigration packet as VAC, Mumbai. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the passport/immigration packet after the interview in Mumbai?
3. Typically, what is the time period in which they will need to travel to USA. NVC has approx 6 months with a caveat the medical report may be valid for less period than that. Does anyone know how this works?

Thanks in advance
