Infopass Appt WALKIN in NYC??

Situation: 18 month extension letter is about to expire end of September. Travelling in Nov so need the infopass appt for the stamp desperately

 

called USCIS and this idiotic system is beyond explaining.. they basically take down your info and a "scheduling officer" will call you to schedule.. 

 

PROBLEM: she's a nurse and it's almost 100% impossible to call her and speak with her while she's at work because of patients and workload..

 

so how the hell are we supposed to get this appointment? can we do walk-ins?! they called her today around 10am but obviously she couldn't answer because she was with a patient

 

anyways, looking for help/advise from you guys.. hoping someone else in nyc has been in a similar situation.. did you just walkin and get the stamp?! can't believe how hard it is now to get this stupid stamp and how long our applications are pending

You can't just walk in that is the whole point with the person calling and scheduling an appointment.

You just have to figure out how she can answer or leave her phone with you so you can take it or something. 

If she needs the stamp then this is unfortunately the process to getting it.

thanks for the reply.. it's the MOST IDIOTIC thing.. i can't even do anything for her, they ask to speak to her or for her to authorize me so i can speak with the uscis rep (which also involves speaking with her anyways)

 

i'm gonna call again and maybe fake stuff give them my cellphone and have a coworker pretend to be her

I understand the frustration and that you are probably blowing off steam, but you really do not want to fake anything at any step of this process. Best of luck to you.
