I would like to ask where did most DC filers complete their biometrics appointment? I received letter saying in Wheaton, MD.

The problem here is that my physical address is DC, but my mailing address is my parent's house since my husband and I are living in an apartment in DC and looking to buy a house soon.

It seems like USCIS decided that my local field office to be Maryland?? I saw most DC filers did their biometrics in Alexandria, VA.

I really don't wanna be assigned to the Maryland office since it is much slower than DC or Virginia.

My understanding is USCIS should decide based on my physical instead of mailing address right?

Is there anything I can do? Or can I walk in to the Alexandria office?

Thanks a lot!

No, Alexandria is very strict no-walkins

Biometrics appointments are done at an ASC.  More than likely your GC interview will still be assigned to Fairfax.
