Hi everyone,

hoping somebody can help me. We are getting things started and had a question regarding the supporting evidence - joint lease, banks, property, etc.

We have have been together 8 years we recently got married and decided to start this process. Now,  we both live really close to each other and we both lived with our parents until recently. There’s no official lease. We don’t have a joint lease or banks or anything. The only thing we could have from the list would be the affidavits from our friends and family. Is there any other evidence we can could submit? Or anything else that you guys have used in the past? She’s still insured through her parents, I was on opt and insured through my employer. Would an electricity bill with our names be enough?

Don't forget pictures as well. Side note, affidavits hold little to no weight, best case scenario they do nothing, worst case scenario they make you look desperate. Drop the affidavits and focus on showing time spent together instead. You can also include the electricity bill if you like if it has both of your names on it.

Awesome thanks.

Would screenshots of her under my bank account online work? and screenshots of her as the beneficiary of my 401k from my old job?

Ah yes, pictures. should these just be straight up printed on paper?

Yes, they would. Pictures you can put into a word doc (you can put about 3 pictures per page or however many fit while still being clear enough to see) and caption them with dates and locations if you like and then print it out

I would print out an actual statement.

Also if she is an additional user on any of your credit card, I would show that too, preferably where she used the cards to show your finance are entangled. If she is not then consider adding her ASAP. you don't need an SSN to add her. Chase and Amex can and will add her without SSN.

Also if you married last year, and filed as MFJ, the tax transcript should have the info that your finances are entangled as it will include her name.
