Name Was Updated and no change

My pending I-751 is forever stuck at a "Name was updated" since last year. I read people had this update were either approved or got RFE after a few days. Obviously I'm not one of those people since it's been staying like this for almost a year. I'm trying not to pull my hair reading too much into this but still want some insight about what this could possibly mean. Thank you

When did you file? ROC can take two years.

 

"Name was updated" only means the name was updated, it tells you nothing about when your case will be adjudicated and/or approved.

Mine was in 12/2017. I haven't not changed my name and such so to get that update is quite interesting.

I also had a status update "name was updated", during AOS. I hadn't requested a name update as I applied already with my married name. Interestingly enough, that that status update was for I-765, and I still have that card, and it has my correct name. However, the GC has a typo in the name :))) I feel like I even asked here about that weird status update but now I can't find it. I think general consensus what that it was either a glitch, or like a generic status update "things are moving along".
