Hi, i've been waiting for my visa and passport to be returned, and its been 5 working days since my interview. I already email the embassy and call RPX but they say its still in the embassy. I was wondering why it took so long since people usually get their visa around 2-3 working days.

Any suggestion on what should i do next beside waiting? Thanks

Besides waiting there is no other choice. Visit your country's subforum to learn more. It's not uncommon to wait 1 week, 1 month, one year or more. No one knows with any certainty when you will receive your visa.

Go to ceac.state.gov and use either your case number or your DS-160 number. Try as an immigrant and if no results then try non-immigrant. Either should give you an answer.

Hi Fellow Indonesian, Im wondering how long did it take you from mailing the visa packet to receiving your visa?

I am currently applying for one. We mailed our packet in October 2019, and our wedding is supposed to be in July 2020 and I am not sure if that's enough time. Im afraid i wont receive the visa by then. Should i postpone the wedding to august instead?

Dated for almost 3 years before he proposed. 💍

16 Oct 2019 - Sent I-129F

18 Oct 2019 - Delivered

24 Oct 2019 - NOA1 notice date

7 Feb 2020 - NOA2 notice date

13 Mar 2020 - P3 Received

20 Mar 2020- DS-160 fee paid

15 Jan 2021 - Visa Approved!

21 Jan 2021 - Visa status changed to "issued"

27 March 2021 - Entered US

21 April 2021 - Married 👰🤵

30 April 2021- AOS delivered

This is a very fluid experience and therefor you should not make any plans. Further information is contained in your other post where I answered it.

hello! i wouldn't take risk, especially if it's involving a lot of wedding guests. I suggest you hold the planning until at least you have your interview date, or after your visa is approved, bcs everything that happen before that is really unpredictable.

Things can go fast or worst case some people took 10-12 months until they got their visa in hand. You can go with other route of course, do court house wedding first for 90 days requirements, then plan for ceremony and reception afterwards. Thats what i did and i can involve in every wedding planning here😁

Good luck!
