Hi all!!

My husbands case has been in AP for a year now and no updates since January. His passport was also sent back to him.

How can I contact senators/congressman? Can someone please help me. My daughter is really in an emotional stress since we went to the US and left her dad.

Thank you

You can use google to find the websites of your state's two US senators, and your congressional representative (by zip code).

Their websites all contain info on getting help from federal agencies (such as USCIS), usually a downloadable privacy release form.

Keep in mind they are often not able to get any more info than you are, and that they cannot influence or hasten a decision.

Hi,

My husbands case was also in AP for a while before it was denied. There is nothing you can do during this time. I had also reached out to my senators/congressman, you should be able to find a form for your reason in their website.  Although most likely they will tell you what you already know, or send you a letter saying they are unable to asist you.

How long was it in AP before it got denied? What’s the reason it got denied?

Was your husband issued a 221g request for additional documents? (check spam folder also if you don't know)      It would have been sent to the email address of record with the embassy

We already sent all docs needed by the embassy including DS-5535.
