H-1B Travel History Incomplete (Form I-129)

I previously worked in the US under an H-1B status from 2014 to 2017, after which I returned to my home country (Canada). I accepted a job offer back in the US this year (2019), and my employer wishes to re-apply for an H-1B, since I have 3 years left under this status.

I am reading form I-129 and under Page 13, "H Classification Supplement to Form I-129", (3), it asks "List each beneficiary's prior periods of stay in H or L classification in the United States for the last six years .... Submit photocopies of forms I-94, I-797, and/or other USCIS issued documents noting these periods ..."

Unfortunately, I traveled quite often for my job in 2014-2017, and I did not retain all of my I-94 records (something I am regretting).

Is this going to be a huge issue for my application? I am unable to determine if the purpose of this question is to: (a) allow employers to 'reclaim' time spent outside the US during previous H-1B statuses, or (b) determine if I had truly entered the US under H-1B status each time during those years (i.e., verifying continuous lawful entry).

Thank you all for your time!

Unfortunately, the CBP online records do not show admission status (e.g., whether you entered on H-1B, B-1, B2, etc.). On top of that, for my case specifically, they are incomplete (which I found is surprisingly common, since it populates data from various databases and may not be reliable).
