Hi all,

I live in France with my wife (US citizen). Since she can't find a job here, we decided early this year to move to the US and sent the I-130 petition in February. After that, I got the opportunity to transfer to the US in my company with an L1B visa. Given the long processing time for the I-130 and IR1 visa, this was a great opportunity to get to the US faster. I will file for AOS in the US once we are there.

Just wondering if someone has been in the same situation and have their feedback on the interview. Were you questionned on the I-130 application at all? The L1B visa is dual intent so no problem with filing for AOS once in the US but I am afraid that the consular officer might think that my L1B visa application is not legit and it is just a favor that my company does to me.

Well, my interview lasted less than 5 minutes and my visa was approved. The officer did not ask me anything about the I-130 petition. She only asked me if I was going with family members and I said yes but that they were US citizens so no need for a visa for them.
