Hello all 

 

i have a question regadring my joint sponsor 

my joint sponsor doesnt have his tax transcript so can i just submit his federal income tax return form 1040 

?? Plz let me know asap

Tax transcripts can be obtained for free from IRS.gov. You can just print them out. Tax returns are acceptable as well, but you have to submit the entire return, that is the 1040, the W2, all the schedules, ... For certain people, the returns are very long ( my wife and I’s are more than 50 pages long) while the transcript is 3 pages.

My joint sponsor is my uncle he lives in virginia nd i m in new jersey . I ordered them but i dont know which address it went to he never got them .

they can also go to an email.  That's how I received mine when I petitioned my husband.

It's best to send for the transcript so you will have them in case they ask for them. Sometimes it is not required.  But safe with more Information in case you need it.

It definitely is hectic.  But some of us have reached the end so it is totally doable! You can do it.  Just ask all the questions you need to ask and someone will be happy to help you.
