KissChick, that is truly fabulous! If you've hit your 60lb goal, what's next?

I'm another lazy non-exerciser. Apparently it's really important because it helps bring the blood sugar down, but I just can't get motivated. What with the heat here right now and the fact that I've just started taking my metformin again (which has played havoc with my stomach, and I'll stop there!), I just don't have the inclination. Boo, hiss to me :(

I'm losing the weight in 10 lb increments so my next goal will be at 169.5. after that, my next goal will be to weigh 159.5 and so on. I feel more accomplished this way. My very first goal was to weigh less than 200 lbs and I did that sometime last year around my birthday I think it was.

I reached 189.5 on 10 April and 179.5 on 9 June so I've got a pretty good pace going :) Thanks everyone!

KissChick..... your look great!!!! It is visible that you seriously have undertaken struggle! It is creditable as difficultly only the first days, the main thing to begin,,,,, at each person the tastes I do not love beer and water with gas but I very much love black chocolate :help:

I agree, Cassie. GO KISSCHICK W00T!!

And 10-pound chunks seems much more manageable than trying to lose the whole shebang at once.

amen sister. If I look at the whole total that I want to lose.....I'd give up before I start!!!

Kissy, you look *fantastic*!!!! Congratulations! I really agree with the way you are doing it as well...slow and steady!

LOL@you, Alex... yep, still fat. How I feel too! :P

Jim...oh YEAH! The way the clothes fit is definitely telling and if you're down a couple of notched on the belt, you're really doing great already! Keep up the good work and keep checking in....that's awesome!

Awwww, Autumnchik...I hope you feel better soon. :( I know...try to stay away from soda, etc...but I really don't think it's hurting you at the moment especially....doesn't sound like you're getting enough calories to make a difference, and it might not be so healthy but most of us have it once in a while..and you're doing it for about the best reason...sounds like all you can keep down right now anyway! At least you know it will pass soon, but ugh...poor you! (F)

Welcome to the thread Karolina and whoever else is checking in..glad to have ya! :)

Exercise is *soooo* important and motivation is such a huge issue for me, too. I really have to get in the mindset that I'm just going to do it, regardless...make it kind of like going to work in my mind...non negotiable. It's tough though, if you're not used to it, no doubt about it.

Good luck everyone..keep on keepin' on!!! :) M.

Thanks! We work all on the general reasons  !! I really have wide experience in sports . As 6 years ago sports borrowed 80 % of my life... Now it is family+ sports+ work= my way of life.. I know, and is very glad, that my fiance has a similar way of life. Now our family is a command (L) !

*bump!*

So I have good and bad news to share; the great thing is that I've now lost 7lb since I started paying attention. It's nowhere near all that I want to lose, but anything's a step in the right direction!

The bad side is that my diabetes is kicking my butt right now. My doctor told me yesterday that I am showing signs of irreparable kidney damage, probably because when I gained so much weight so quickly, it put a huge strain on my organs. I have a big orange jug to pee in ("No sweetie, it's NOT juice!!") for 24 hours so that they can do a creatinine clearance to tell exactly what state my kidneys are in. I'm oscillating between "it's going to be fine, you just have to be more careful" and "OMG OMG OMG I'm 24 and I don't want to die" at the moment, which I'm sure will settle into something in the middle once I know exactly what's up. Moral of this story - when your Dr tells you to do something, do it.

Please keep me in your thoughts whilst you're out losing weight this week.

Make sure you're wearing clean knickers. You never know when you'll be run over by a bus.

I read about this illness very much :reading: , I regret for it greater a problem :( . But growth of weight not only is given with sweets.. Possibly at supervision of the doctor you can востановит a metabolism, this main thing which will not allow weight to grow. Actually important it is correct to find wholesome food for your organism, is not very much and to be engaged in sports meets (during health), the Success will be in you! The main thing which already is desire to struggle with excess weight.

Since my last update on 27 June, I've lost another 5 lbs. The weight's not falling off as fast as it was when I came back from England, but at least it still is. I'm still counting calories and I STILL haven't gotten out my tae-bo dvd  But from 236 I am now 170.5, one pound away from my next goal of 169.5 :D once I meet that goal, my next goal will be 159.5

This is the lowest weight I have been since this decade started
