You can always move to Peoria if you have manufacturing skills. The cost of living is low and the wages are high. Caterpillar will hire anyone that has some experience and my company is BEGGING for qualified repairman. We pay way over the average. Pretty sweet if you like the quiet mid-west.

Nope, my thing is IT. New York City is where it's at.

As a matter of fact we are looking for a network administrator here. Morton is a suburb of Peoria. If your interested take a look.

The parts of NH that are close to Boston are pretty expensive in their own right. State income tax is a pretty small part of the overall pie.
I'm not saying move to New Hampshire. I'm saying "move" to New Hampshire. :innocent:

I guess I'm just too fcuking honest to get ahead. Or shall I say not creative enough?

LOL.....

I would have done it by now, if it was possible. Unfortunately, New York taxes non-residents no matter what.

New Jersey is another story. One of my paying clients is in NJ and if I did my work for them "out of NH" (ahem),

I'd probably save enough money in NY state taxes to buy an apartment in NH.

Yeah I heard that from a colleague who moved to a Dallas burb. The house was HUGE and he got it for only 400k so obviously prices are dirt cheap... but his property taxes were 15000 a year. And his AC bills are around 500 a month too, sucks!

But atleast he has a huge house ;)
