I am far away from this portion, but I would like some clarification so that I can get things in order.

We we are a family of 3 (myself, my husband, and our son). I understand that I have to make over 26K as my annual salary from the chart.

My concern is that, I spent two years as a stay at home in Switzerland. I continued to file my taxes in the USA through an accountant during my SAHM years.

Prior to being a SAHM, I worked as a teacher for six years. And I will be going back this year to work.

Will the two year gap be an issue?

If so, should we start to transfer the money we have in Switzerland to the USA? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Or do we simply show my husband’s bank account statement as proof when the time comes?

Also how much $$$ is considered the minimum amount?

**Side note: I kept my Swiss bank account at a minimal to just send money to the USA to pay my bills. Other than that, I use my husbands credit card for shopping and etc. :)

Thank you everyone! I have such anxiety over theses questions because I cannot simplify the answer sometimes from other people’s post. >_<

Sorry for the repeat of questions, but I really do appreciate the answers!

Thank you!

You've got lots of time.  Become an A-student of the I-864 instructions.  Chances are, your current income and spouse's liquid assets will carry the day.  Do the homework though.

Yes, I am constantly looking at it to understand the lingo. Also, would it be wise for me to consult the accountant for the federal income portion and some parts of the application?

I didn't recommend you "look into the lingo".  I strongly recommended you become an A-student of the I-864 instructions.  "Federal income" is not part of any "application".  I take it you are at the petition filing stage.  Start by studying the form instructions for I-130 and the applicable guide here.  Just click on the word "Guides" at the top of any page.  STUDY is your friend here.  What you don't understand AFTER you study, come back and ask.
