Is Address Change a Requirement?

Hello everyone

 

When I (the USC) filed the CR1 I-130 for my husband, we were both living in his home country of Israel. I had been there for several years prior.

 

I recently moved back to the US. His residence is still in Israel.

 

Am I obligated to notify USCIS of my address change? On the application, I listed my physical address as Israel and my mailing address as a family member's in the US.

 

Do I need to update my physical address and/or mailing address, or is this optional at this point (before NVC)?

You are required to complete and MAIL a form I-865 to USCIS.

Maybe not, technically, but I would since USCIS is sometimes slow to update their database.
