What does the notification for passport/document pickup looks like? I received this mail from UStraveldocs yesterday......

 

Your document(s) have been collected from the US Embassy/Consulate 

The passport number being returned is  

You have chosen to have your documents delivered to the following location: 

Victoria Island - Lagos, DHL, Victoria Island, Lagos 

If you have any issues or concerns, please contact us at www.ustraveldocs.com/ng. 
 

 

Visa status shows issued on ceac website and ustraveldocs website says passport is ready for pickup. Does this mean I can go get it or I have to wait for another notification?

EAD May 23, 2014 Employment Authorization Document approved and went to card production

TD May 23, 2014 Travel Document approved and went for card production

Receipt EAD/AP May 30, 2014 Received combo card EAD/AP

Green Card Approved July 11, 2014 Approved, no interview. Went to card production.

Green Card received July 17, 2014 GC received without interview

Removal of Conditions

Mailed I-751 Dec 16, 2015 Submitted ROC (removal of conditions)

Received Dec 18, 2015 USPS notification of successful delivery

Check Cashed Dec 21, 2015 Check was cashed

NOA-1 Issued Dec 21, 2015 NOA-1 for ROC issued

NOA-1 Issued Dec 26, 2015 NOA-1 Received

You go to ceac.state.gov enter immigrant. Enter his case number and the result will come up "issued" if it's has indeed been issued.  Then follow the instructions from the embassy to pickup.

Thanks for the prompt response! We have already done that on the Ceac website and it does say issued just like your case. But what I am concerned about is the email. I've read about cases that said "Issued" but the passport was not actually ready for pick up for day or weeks. Sorry to be annoying and #######, but did you receive any other email notification, other than the one you referenced "

During this whole process most of us, and now you are experiencing it to, a step in the process that never materialize as stated. Maybe this one of those times. The visa does have an expiration date and if not used by then it's to the back of the line and restart with all required fees to be collected.

@Mamaroman It’s ready, go get it. I received the email twice, a day apart.

 

Or if you don’t live in Lagos, you could go a day or two prior your departure date, that’s if you’re using the Lagos airport. I think your passport can be with Dhl for about 30 days(not very sure) before it’s returned to the embassy
