How to deal with addresses/divorce on I-129f form?

Hi all, I have a question. I am trying to bring my Hong Kong fiance over here to get married in the US. I want to file the paperwork ASAP, but I just got divorced officially from my ex in March of this year (2019). I got divorced in my old state (Virginia) but am currently living in California. I am wondering if the addresses will be a problem for the divorce or if they just want the addresses to run a background check. Do they just check that the divorce is finalized? Any advice would be appreciated.

Not quite sure I understand your question? Of course you can live in another state than the one you got divorced in, and that's obviously not an issue when dealing with immigrations.

All they are looking for is a legitimate divorce decree. Include it with your petition following the instructions here on VJ, and it should be no problem. Your past resident history you provide is used primarily for the background checks.
