When do you receive packet 3?

Timeline

Our case was "Ready" on the 2nd of May and my fiance still hasn't received the packet 3... does he even need it for medical and/or interview? How long does it typically take to be mailed out?

I think you'll find answers in this thread.  I asked a similar question on there and @Wuozopo gave me all the info I needed.  If you read the whole thread you'll get all the answers you need and some good supplementary advice about being prepared etc.

 

Sort answer is no you don't need it, you can schedule the medical now providing you have everything you need for it.

@Pooley I have my visa in hand and am flying out in a week and I still haven’t received packet 3😂 definitely not necessary

Congratulations!!! He received a letter saying that our case is at the embassy so I figure that's good enough lol.

It usually has a photocopy of the I-129F petition and a letter telling the beneficiary his case is in London and he can apply for the visa. And a link to their instructions on the embassy website. 

 

That is the only letter the beneficiary will receive in the post.
