My husband submitted adjustments status and work authorization for me since December 2018, uscis replied that it's been recived and sent us reciept number. I have been waiting to get my letter for finger print (i.e biometrics) and it's been almost 5month. Please is this normal with anyone. Help

Did you call and ask about the status of your case? Biometrics usually takes place within a few months after sending your application, so 5 months seems a bit long.

Did you move?

Yes i called, and still have not received

When did you call? What did they tell you? Sometimes you have to call a few times until you get to talk to someone who actually understands your question.

I moved just last month but nothing really changed in my address other than just my apartment number  which they confirmed it already and sent a letter

Did you check if anything got delivered at your old address? Even if you sent a change of address, USCIS often messes up with new addresses.

Again, what exactly did they tell you when you called?

If your field office is a very busy one, it may take a bit longer to get your biometrics done, but 5 months does seem long.

I just want to know if anyone out there have this experience please

I received my Biometric Appointment letter one month after filing. Mine seems to be moving quickly, but from what I have seen on VJ, Bio one month after filing is pretty normal. I'm sure there are some people in the same boat as you. Might just be a delay with scheduling BIO appts at your local office. Hang tight and good luck!
