Visiting while having an open application

Hi guys, first of all I am aware that you can visit while you have an application open, however I have a specific question.

 

I have an ESTA which I got before my partner (a US citizen) and myself got married, now I have an open spouse visa application can I visit on that same ESTA (which is still in date until next year) or do I need to make a new ESTA/tourist visa application to visit for a holiday?

 

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

I see you already received the correct answer and I just wanted to add that I had to renew my Esta because it was about to expire and I got an approval for a new Esta with a pending I-130 too. I thought it might be an issue but no problems whatsoever! 👍🏻
