My wife had her interview April 23, 2019 in Islamabad. Everything went well except the CO rejected her pictures. She got handed a 221g form that said your visa application is refused for administrative processing. And had a tic under photographs. She had to go out take new ones and submitted one photo that same day. The CO didn’t say anything but kept her passport and said we are working on it and will call. I checked ceac and it says AP. What should we do?

You can only wait......Administrative Processing is indefinite, and it can be neither waived nor expedited.  The fact that they kept her passport is a positive......

Sad to hear just for the small thing CO handed over 221g which is normal now a days in islamabad embassy, I wish her all the best and hopefully AP will be over soon for wives it won't take long the best thing is they kept her passport, don't worry. I am also sailing in same boat I had an interviewin islamabad 2nd april 2019 , interview went good provided everything asked by CO and at the end of he interview he gave me white slip 221g and ticked on police clearance certificate from Switzerland and South Korea where I stayed almost 20 years ago.  Anyways I had submitted both police clearance certificates on 22nd April now let see what happen and how long this Ap last since my interview i had 3 updates in my case.

How often do they update? Mine has been the same since the 23rd. They told her "we are working on your visa and we will call you" after the interview and took her number.

Well it's only update when they work on your file mine has changed 3 times that's because once they call me after interview for additional information  and twice it changed because they worked on it. Your hasn't change because it's just a day your wife interview happened. When my interview finished I did ask from Co. How long it will take to Issue Visas so he replied it can be few months

But your scenario is different. They have to check your police certificates from the other countries but in case of @raymatthews it’s just passport photos. It doesn’t take long to update that. I hope they get their visa in a few days or a week.
