Women just cannot focus when they're in a store.

Oh come on. I have no trouble "focusing" in the grocery store. Men aren't the only ones who can shop efficiently.

No kidding. When I read that, my first thought was, "oh, c'mon!"

My Gary loves to go grocery shopping. Funny though cause when he lived in the UK he hardly ever stepped foot in a food shop lol I am the coupon cutter, sale watcher, and stick to my list, kind of shopper. When Gary goes with me, we tend to end up with at least 5-10 items not on the list!

My Carlos loves the grocery store too, as do I. We actually have the best time grocery shopping, and when we travel, we always have to check out their grocery stores, "just to see what they are like" weather we are in Milwaukee or Mexico...hee hee hee! He was amazed at the concept of coupons here, our food prices end up being lower than what they were in Panama because of that. But....oh I get so embarrased when it's free sample time! I know the sample lady knows he's been up there 3 times already!!

Indeed, when I got grocery shopping I pick what's on the list, and that's it, at the most will take something that's on a really good price. Luis on the other hand, when he comes with me, he'll grab a bunch of junk, and the shopping is always double of what I do, he's the one who can't focus.

Yeah, he doesn't grocery shop. He's out wrestling wild animals for our supper. Now that's a real manly man.

As I read it, that's a marketing report from a supermarket sales perspective. From a famaily, or personal perspective, the shopping habits of 'men' are not that big a problem. The guy goes to the shop, gets what he needs and comes home. (Women can do this too :))

As for getting freaked at the cereal aisle, I can totally get that, I mean how many different brands of one thing does one really need, honestly? Besides who decided breakfast was ideal for sugar/candy consumption? That's pretty crazy...oh well

Getting people to buy things that they don't really need isn't exactly a good thing, in my opinion.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I do the weekly grocery shopping. I make list of things to buy especially if I want to try new recipes. And I try to do grocery shopping with full stomach - a lot easier to stick to your list that way

I love to go grocery shopping alone, taking my time (which I do once a week). I stick to my list, sometimes I grab something that isn't there, like when I see a fruit that isn't normally available or chocolate (which I never add to my list but wind up buying anyway :P ) But that's it, it is what's on the list and maybe 1-3 other stuff, not more than that.

I used to go with hubby when i first got here and i had no DL and he is the type that doesn't make list and even though I had a list he would grab stuff like ''mmm pineapple ice cream'' and put in the cart :P

oh, and i am always on an empty stomach because saturdays I wake up early, am never hungry when I wake up and I go to the gym and after that grocery shopping. Usually by then i'm hungry and can't wait to get home and eat something, still, I stick to the list.
