Scheduling the medical test before more than three weeks

I read on my medical centers website that schedule it three weeks before the interview. I got it scheduled already more than three weeks before? Is this okay?

My husband's interview is in 6 weeks and he just got his done yesterday...medicals are good for 6 months...as long as you get that interview letter you can schedule it whenever...its go take another 2 weeks to pick up the results...but it can depend on the country's regulations too

It is country dependant.  In Mexico it is the day before.

 

It should be listed in the packet / email you received.

Yea I always recommend a week but depends on the location. Philippines can be like 2-3 days before hand and no issues unless something comes up during the medical.

You can always contact the clinic to find out.

 

The disadvantage of doing medical very early is that the medical date determines the expiration date of the VISA (the date that you must enter the US by). You have six months from the medical date.  Getting it done too soon leaves that much less time at the end in case some other issue comes up.

Call the medical provider and ask them how far in advance and dont go by the website..if it 3 weeks prior then it it what it is and reschedule if they say 4 weeks is ok then just keep the appointment but call to be sure

I called and they said it’s fine. I don’t know if they guided me properly cuz they weren’t listening. Not sure what to do
