How long does it take to receive passport and visa (K1)

Timeline

It depends on how far away from the city you are.  It took about 10 days for us...we are in Ben Tre.  It also just depends on luck and how much your local post office person cares.  We came by the post office and talked with the lady there like day 7 and gave her our phone number and she called us when it came.

Timeline

In May, my wife and her daughter received their passports/visas in 11 days going from the consulate to Da Lat.  Her son's visa/passport took 14 days in late November, but there was a holiday and closure for George Bush's funeral.  We paid for expedited delivery both times, but I don't think it mattered. - Jason
