she was refused at the port of entry in 2011. that's not a deportation is it?  I guess more specific to my question is. if its not listed on the blue paper after the interview its not needed right?  it only says I-601

It sounds like she only needs the I-601.

 

You can try submitting a FOIA to CBP to find out for sure if it was deportation. But if they didn't have her sign any documents, then it was probably not a deportation.

 

The FOIA would tell you if there is anything else you should be worried about. A CBP FOIA can takes about 4-6 months, maybe even longer.
