Affidavit of Support - Military Income

Hi there everyone,

We are filling in the I-134 Affidavit of Support and the question asks for annual income. Do we include his BAH and special duty pay in annual income, or just the taxable income listed on his W2. We will provide a copy of his LES at the interview to show his total income for the year, just not sure which figure to actually write on the I-134 form.

Non-taxable income as well as taxable income can be included......annual income equals monthly LES total x 12.

For my annual income I included my taxable military retirement pay (taxable) as well as my VA disability pension (non-taxable).

What did you provide as evidence of your VA disability? I have a benefit verification letter that lists my monthly award amount from the VA website. Do you think this is sufficient?

That's what I used.  My monthly Retirement Account Statement also shows both taxable and non-taxable amounts.
