police and finger print validity

am concerned about my police certificate and finger print validity on my interview.  the certificate stated that it expires after 3 months which is due at nvc stage , do I need to get a new one for my interview at Lagos embassy or is it still valid for one year as I read from the website even though is expired.

From my understanding yes you will need another clearance if it expires by your interview.

Hi, it is valid for one year. Even though it says 3 months, it is one year to the embassy. Have nothing to fear

It’s not expensive to get it so get a new one though they’ve  might not even ask for it and even if they do, you won’t be denied a visa for that. They may ask you to go get it before your visa is issued.

the 3 months pertains to submission. It is good for a year. Don;t get a new one. It is okay long as you submitted to NVC before 3 months.

 

It use to be about 4 to 5 years ago police certificates started expiring at NVC because they take so long and many countries wouldn't issue a new one. So the embassies no longer required a new updated police report.

 

So you are fine no worries.
