DS-160 and interview scheduling

Has anyone been able to schedule and interview without their NVC tracking showing ready? I don’t have my case number yet but the website for scheduling an interview with the Honduran embassy doesn’t say anything about waiting to schedule, it looks like i could schedule as soon as his DS-160 and payment are complete.

No you won't be able to. You'll have to wait until you pay the visa fee in order to schedule an interview. It has to be set to "Ready". Reason being just because the case reaches NVC doesn't mean you're in the clear, they have to review and verify a few documents and then send it to your country. Like one of the senior member always say on here "TRUST THE PROCESS" one step at a time, don't attempt to do anything in advance take your time and do everything correct :)
