Unfortunately, Claudia has to work that day. She's asked for a reschedule, but if we don't get it, we'll just have to make due.

Hard to believe that this long, stressful and murky process is finally coming to an end! And it was actually lightning fast for us, especially compared with other people's experiences.

Congratulations Walter, finally you got your interview. Do the best and go to the interview on that day, to reschedule means you have to wait another month or so...you never know what else can happened, what new law etc.......

05/03/2007 I have an unofficial "PETITION APPROVED" ...waiting for confirmation from Consulate

05/07/2007 Received email from USCIS ROME confirming that our petition was approved (why Rome? because we complained to the District Office Rome about the Sub-Office Frankfurt..it took too long for our petition to be approved)...now waiting for the interview letter from the Consulate

05/18/2007 E-mail from IV Frankfurt, our interview was scheduled for May 29th

05/19/2007 Packet 4 in the mail: ja ja ja interview letter

05/29/2007 Interview at 7.30 a.m. APPROVED Thank you, God!

06/01/2007 Visa arrived !

06/03/2007 Mayday on the plane POE Cincinnati

06/21/2007 Welcome Notice from USCIS

06/29/2007 Applied for SSN at the local Office

Thanks, Adriana. We made clear in the e-mail to the consulate that we didn't want to reschedule if it meant waiting longer, so I assume we'll do it on the 25th. Shouldn't be a big deal--my wife will be happy to not have to teach that day :) -- of course, she won't be happy having to spend an entire day driving, waiting and interviewing. :blink:

So are you ready for your interview? Tuesday, isn't it? Where do you have to go to do it?

It will be a hard day for Claudia: long drive, interview and medical...by the way, did they put an appointment for the medical on your appointment letter? I think it is good for you guys to go a day before and spend the night to a hotel.

I cannot wait for Tuesday. I live only 1.10 minutes driving from the Consulate in Frankfurt so I decided to rent a car and drive there in that morning. I have the appointment for 7.30 am, you?

I am so excited that finally this day is coming, I see it :) . I booked my flight for the 9th, i hope I will get my passport on time. :)

Where are you at? I thought you were a lot further away! Or how fast do you drive? :)

I'd like to be able to go the day before, but with the kids I don't think it'll be possible. Though we could leave after they're already in bed, that may be a thought... Though I imagine we'll get up early early early and drive.

Our interview is at 8:00 am, but for the medical exam the time is listed as 0:00 ! Does this just mean we show up and wait? Maybe I'll e-mail and ask for confirmation.

I live in Schatthausen (Wiesloch) close to Heidelberg.

You should check with the IV Section about having the medical in the same day :thumbs:

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
