B2 visa for Wedding

Your family can apply for B2 visa now.  No need to wait for you to get your K1 visa.

 

Just remember that for your family to be granted visas, they need to convince the visa officer that they'll return to Nigeria after attending your wedding and not overstay in the US.

Sure. They wouldn't be more inclined to be approved or not for traveling due to a wedding anyway. The US assumes anybody applying for a tourist visa wants to come to the US. The hard part is overcoming the mandatory presumption of immigrant intent.

No harm in applying.

9/5/18: Interview scheduled notice, 10/17/18: Interview

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

5/1/2017: Case received by Manila (1 week embassy transfer??? Lucky~)

7/13/2017: Interview: APPROVED!!!

7/19/2017: Visa in hand

8/15/2017: POE
