im waiting for interview letter for f3 visa


when i fill ds260 i didn't mention i lived in aussie for 3 year, i overstayed my student visa in 1998


no criminal record in aussie, can this be a problem ?will they find out? i have a new clean pasport


or should i mention at interview and present aussie police certificate?

Lying or omitting facts on a federal form is a serious offence. Could get you banned from the US.

10/30/2017.......... Check cashed

11/02/2017.......... Conditional GC expired

Yes you need to mention it and present an Australian police certificate 

The US generally doesn’t care about overstays in other countries however it cares very deeply about the signature on your DS260 that everything is true and correct. You could get a lifetime ban for lying on immigration documentation.



PS it’s quite naive to think that because you have a new passport they won’t have any (computer) records linking you with your old ones.
