Ok so we had our interview on the 31st in Guangzhou. No visa yet.

We got a green paper telling us how to send the passport back in saying its preliminarily approved pending submission of new documents. Theres also a white sheet describing the 2 documents they want.  One is regarding her CCP membership. They want a written description and declaration about the depth of her involvement. No sweat.

The second is called a "detailed resume" but then lists all kinds info that should be included that would never be on an actual resume like siblings, last 15 years of addresses, etc.  The one I have a question about is they asked for a list of "Any publications you have written. Include titles, descriptions and date of all publications."

My fiancee is a journalist. She has worked for a Gansu newspaper that has gone out of business, and now works for ByteDance TouTiao and has published literally hundreds of articles and blogs. There's really no way we can think of to compile a list of all the info they are asking for.  Any ideas what I should do?

Thanks.

Thanks.

Send as much info as you can. At this point you simply follow their request to the best of your ability. If you want to complete this process, you give them what they want. If some info is missing, you explain why it was not obtained.

Do articles published in newspapers count as publications?

Quote

Generally, the main works that count as academic publications are:

  1. peer reviewed academic journal articles
  2. academic books and book chapters, and
  3. full-text peer reviewed academic conference articles.

They apparently  have some concerns about her politics and association with China’s communist party.   Best advice is to submit as much as possible.  They can obviously search for her published pieces themselves, but they want her to disclose everything up front.
