So I have seen many k1 visa timelines. Some people get their interview date very quickly after it's transferred to the embassy from NVC and some have to wait for monthe like myself.

Does anyone know why is it like this or how this process work?

While not familiar with Afghanistan process, each embassy works differently. Some like Philippines let you immediately schedule an interview and everything on your own. Some take weeks to send out a packet 3 to the beneficiary... Some schedule the interview for them, and have seen some that get an interview scheduled by the embassy for 2-3 months down the road as they have limited openings or they have to have time to do their own review of the petition.

06/30/2016 : I-129F Packet Sent

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview

Thank you for your response, appreciate it. I have sent an inquiry email to the embassy about 8 days ago and still waiting for the reply.

Really make sure to check your email constantly! My fiancé is in Kabul Afghanistan and the email for his interview was unfortunately missed so now we are trying to reschedule. From the NVC it usually takes about a month to for the Kabul consular to send an email regarding the update on when your interview will be along with your medical exam.

Thank you, I check my email everyday. Hopefully they reschedule your fiancé's interview soon. Mine was transferred from NVC to the embassy about 4 months ago, then updated to ( ready) on 12 November. But still waiting for the interview date. I don't know why is it taking so long for an interview date?

I got a reply back to my inquiry email from embassy. Turns out my interview was on 6th November 2018, but neither me nor my  fiancee received any emails regarding to an interview date.

So just to be sure they send it this time I sent them another email with my phone number and email address. Hopefully it all goes well this time.

NVC received my case on 28 November 2018 and the same day I got an email from the Kabul embassy for an appointment on 4 December. I informed the embassy that we needed to get the Afghan birth certificate and asked to reschedule.  They told us if we cancel we won't get an appointment until 2019.  They canceled the appointment and told us to email them when we had all the documents. 10 December we emailed them back and on 11 December we were notified we were in the queue. 19 January we were informed that we were rescheduled for 24 February.

How long after the interview did it take to issue the k1 visa? (If you already got yours). Thanks.
