Hello!

long time lurker and first time poster.  I am getting the AOS packet together for my wife and am hoping to send it sometime next week.  Everything has been pretty straighforward and with help from this site we have been able to get probably 99% percent of the way.  the only thing i have a question about is this:

In both the i130 and i485 it asks the documentation that she used to legally enter the country.  it asks for a passport number and/or for the travel document.  she used a Border Crossing Card/b-1 and b-2 visa when crossing into san diego by foot.  she has a passport but the i-94 is tied to her Border Crossing Card and not her passport as she did not present her passport to the CBP officer.  so should we just leave the passport section blank and type in the border crossing card number int he travel document number?  should i also put the passport number along with the border crossing card number?

any help with this is appreciated, thank you!

You list the value for any field that applies. She has a passport so she would list that even if it was not her travel document (or even if it was now expired).

Geowrian is correct. Same situation here, except that I drove across with my BCC. On I-130 and I-485, I am listing my I-94 arrival-departure record number and my passport number.I don't think there is a place to list the BCC number.

So do i only put the passport  number and not the BCC?  or should i put both?  either way, i should def. add a photocopy of it in the AOS package i send right?

After further research, you may put your BCC document ID number in the space for travel document number. You can also put your passport number in its respective field. Or you could just put one or the other. I don't think it matters.
