I am working on the AOS paperwork.  I am filiing out the PDF on my computer.  The I-485 document for instance in the instructions says to enter NONE or N/A for any field that are N/A or NONE.  However, many of the fields won't let me enter the "/" gives and error saying it is not allowed.  On page 2 Questions 23c for instance, it asks for the "Status of Form I-94 (class of admision).  The I-94 states K1, however the field in the PDF won't let me enter the "1".  Just gives errors saying only letters are allowed.

Other than filling it out by hand, how should I fill this out?  Is there some option in Acrobat to disable this error checking.

My wifes 90 days are up in about 20 days so we are trying to get this completed.

Thanks.

You have two choices:

You can fill it out with a third party PDF filler. Unfortunately, Adobe does not have the function to disable what you need.

Or you can handwrite the boxes you need to.

Either way, it's not a big deal.

These forms were being hand prepared  way before filled in forms was an option.   Pen is always an option when you cannot enter the results you want
