Marriage Certificate NSO VS Security Papers Question

Hello All,

I'm putting together the CR-1 application. We have the "security papers" marriage certificate; but we don't have the NSO certificate yet. They said that will take a month or two. Can i file using just the security papers version of the marriage certificate ?

Honestly i'm kind of confused at the difference of all of the marriage certificates...

Thanks!

What are you referring to as "security paper"?   You don't have a copy of your marriage certificate from PSA (changed from NSO years ago) ?    A copy from the local registry isn't adequate as it isn't a certified copy (that would be the PSA copy)

You have to wait for the PSA certificate.  You can ask the registrar to expedite.  It took us 1 month to get the PSA Certificate.
