Hi guys, just want to ask info regarding crossing the border. I am moving with my fiance on Saturday with my K1 visa. We will rent a car and drive all the way to Austin. I have with me my household stuff like clothes, shoes, kitchenwares, etc.. Do i need to fill up forms to submit in the border before crossing? If there is, what form is this? Thanks for all the reply.

When I crossed into NY from ON, I had a truck with all my stuff.  Make sure you number any boxes and then make a list of what’s in the boxes.  Ie.  Box #1 - kitchen items:  plates, cups, cutlery.. etc.

I didn’t find it a terribly cumbersome process.  You go inside, they review your items (they looked at my list, and didn’t open anything, which I was thankful for).

Then you wait in a second line, and they process your entrance (assuming you’re entering with a VISA).

It was about 10-15 minutes for each process.

Good luck and safe travels!
