Did anyone had to pickup passport from Ghana embassy recently after ceac status turned to "ISSUED"?

I have been waiting for almost 3 weeks now after K1 visa interview was approved on December 30,2018 and CO told me passport will be ready for pickup at DHL in 5 working days. I went to DHL today and was told my passport is not there yet. Is it advisable to walk in to the embassy to get my passport because the CO told me passport should be ready for pickup in 5 working days after the interview.

My fiancé went to the embassy today they didn't let him in or talk to anybody saying it is best to email them, which I have twice. So now we have no choice to wait for it to get to DHL. I'm sure that won't be til after the holidays. Out interview was November 16.
