I HAVE A QUESTION I AM DOING THE AOS AND I HAVE LOOKED AT THE POVEERTY GUIDELINES AND MY TAX RETURN LAST YEAR WAS THAT I WORKED FOR $25,064 AND I AM A FAMILY OF 3 WILL I BE NEEDING A CO SPONSOR

04/09/2019    NOA1 received/check cashed i 485 and 130 (direct adjustment)

11/7/2019      Interview- Norfolk

11/10/2019    APPROVED (notification rec'd 11/10, approval dated 11/8)

DONE FOR TWO YEARS!!! ;)

 

Filed everything ourselves with no RFE's or delays.

 

CR1 for Child under 21 (20 at time of filing)- Filed by LPR Spouse for his son

4/4/20     Mailed packet

4/12/20   NOA1 rec'd

10/14/21 (havent heard anything... when do i start to get worried?)

9/15/22 APPROVED! Now to wait for NVC and interview....

10/14/21 Mailed to AZ PO Box. Let the waiting begin. Again.

Your magic number is $25975 for a household of three unless you live in Alaska, Hawaii or are military.

Keep in mind you are using CURRENT income to prove you meet the mark. Yes, the most recent IRS tax forms are required but if your earnings have increased since then you can use current evidence. Provide an employer letter and six months worth of current paystubs that show you are projected to earn enough in 2018 or have already to date and you will be fine.

They take the totality of circumstances into account. They can still deny even with an income that is technically high enough, and for them, with the information we were provided, it is not.
