I-130 was approved by USCIS a weak ago and we had received the NOA2 in the mail, now I'm confused about the process and the waiting time at the NVC since it took a lot of time to get the approval at the USCIS.

any help is appreciated...

after USCIS app says sent to DOS you have about a 6-8 week wait for CR1 category.

I am not sure if that is the visa you applied for.

F2A? The PD date is April 7, 2017, correct? If yes, then you can begin the NVC step, per the visa bulletin: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin.html

no you will wait to hear from NVC, they will give you your case # via email, and then you will follow the directions in the email they provide.

click the link and research this will help you after you get your case #

hahahahaha

no average wait time to get a case # is 6-8 weeks

for interview your waiting months from approval at USCIS all depends on the case completion date from NVC and openings at the embassy you will interview at.

you can click here

this will allow you to see others timelines, and the time they waited for each stage as long as they are filled out.

depending on how fast you get fees paid after you get the invoice and how quick you submit papers looks about a 2 month wait after case completion to interview.

good luck in your journey.

BTW nothing about this process to bring your loved ones here is easy, fast, or smooth.

you will receive an email within 3-4 weeks from NVC . NVC will give you case number you have to login & pay immigrant visa fee & your sponsor also pay his fee & provide them with financial responsibility forms . The applicant will need to provide birth certificate, police statement no convictions, marriage certificate, divorce certificate if you were married before & the same for spouse. Make sure copies are clear & no parts  missing example border lines & all copies in Arabic are posted straight like you are able to read them not crocked ( it happened to me) good luck
