Question about I-864a

So, I think we might have found a solution to my problem of not having enough income to sponsor my fiance. I'm thinking of using my dad's income on a form I-864a. My question is, will this mean that mine and my dad's income will be "combined" since we live in the same house, or will my Dad sill have to qualify as being over 125% of the poverty level. I've spoken with USCIS twice today (regarding a matter unrelated to this question), and was given completely different information on both calls. The second lady told me that the information I was given on the first call was completely false. So I'm hesitant to call them back about this, or any matter.

For an I-864...

The income can be combined with a household member.

You would need to include him in the household size as well, which increases the minimum income level to file.

The CO makes a decision based on the totality of the circumstances.

 

For a K-1 visa:

You use an I-134. There is no I-134A for a household member, though.

USCIS does not handle the public charge decision for the visa.

 

For London specifically:

The beneficiary can self-sponsor with assets to cover the 90 day stay.

I wouldn't count on that one.  I have never run across a person in 10 years who actually  was able to do that. Most self sponsored with $40-$60k, or had continuing income.

True...I can't say I personally know anybody who has tried recently either.
